How to Keep Your Flowers Fresh & Beautiful for Days
Simple flower care tips to extend the life of your blooms and keep your arrangements looking their best.
How to Keep Your Flowers Fresh & Beautiful for Days
There’s nothing quite like the joy of fresh flowers filling a space with color, texture, and fragrance. But let’s be real—without a little love, those blooms can start to droop before you’re ready to say goodbye. The good news? With a few easy flower care tips, you can keep your bouquet looking gorgeous for as long as possible.
1. Keep the Vase Full & Water Fresh
Just like us, flowers need to stay hydrated! Keep the vase full of clean water and check levels daily. If the water starts to look cloudy, swap it out for fresh water to prevent bacteria from building up (your flowers will thank you!).
2. Avoid the Sun & Heat Traps
While flowers love a little sunshine in the garden, direct sunlight and heat sources can make them wilt faster indoors. Keep your arrangement in a cool, shaded spot—away from heating vents, radiators, and blasts of AC—to extend their beauty.
3. Trim & Remove Fading Stems
Not all flowers age at the same rate, and that’s okay! To keep your bouquet looking fresh, remove any wilted stems as they expire. This allows the remaining flowers to shine and keeps your arrangement vibrant for longer.
4. Spritz Petals with a Light Mist
Some flowers can actually drink water through their petals! If possible, we suggest lightly misting your arrangement (not soaking!) with water each day to keep the petals nice and hydrated.
5. Bonus Tip: Give Stems a Fresh Cut
Every few days, trim the ends of the stems at an angle to help them drink up more water. This simple trick can work wonders in keeping your blooms perky and happy!
Fresh flowers are meant to be enjoyed, and with just a little care, you can make them last as long as possible. Need a new bouquet to brighten your space? Check out our Signature Arrangements for artful, long-lasting designs! 🌸✨
