Our commitment to Floral Sustainability & Inclusivity

We believe that flowers bring people joy—but they shouldn’t harm the planet or exclude anyone in the process. We’re committed to sustainable floral design and creating an inclusive, welcoming space for everyone who loves flowers.

Sustainability in Floral Design

🌿 Foam-Free Floral Arrangements – Traditional floral foam is made of microplastics that never fully break down. Instead, we use sustainable alternatives like chicken wire, pin frogs, and Oshun pouches to create stunning, long-lasting designs without harming the environment.

🌎 Composting & Floral Donations – After events, we compost flowers whenever possible or donate arrangements to bring joy to others in hospitals, nursing homes, and shelters. Nothing goes to waste if we can help it!

🚛 Sourcing Local & Reducing Waste – We prioritize locally grown flowers to cut down on plastic packaging and emissions from long-haul shipping. Local blooms also mean fresher flowers and direct support for our regional flower farms.

🔄 Reusing & Renting Materials – The event industry is one of the largest waste-producing industries—second only to construction! The average wedding generates nearly 400 pounds of trash. To help reduce this impact, we reuse and repurpose materials and partner with rental companies rather than contributing to mass consumerism.

Inclusivity & Anti-Racism in Our Work

🌈 Flowers Are for Everyone – We believe that joy is universal, and flowers should be, too. We actively support and stand with LGBTQ+ communities, BIPOC individuals, and all marginalized groups. Everyone deserves beautiful flowers on their special day—full stop.

🚫 Anti-Hate & Anti-Racism – Bumble Fleur is an anti-racist and anti-hate business. We welcome all people into our space and events, ensuring a safe, supportive, and uplifting experience for every client and flower lover.

💐 Diversity in Design & Business – We actively seek to support diverse suppliers and collaborators. Our commitment to inclusivity means showcasing a range of styles, traditions, and floral design influences.
