Luxury Floral Design Class Brings Winona State Alumni Together at the Bumble Fleur Studio

A Bloomin’ Good Time for Winona State Alumni

I had the delightful pleasure of hosting a group of 16 Winona State Alumni and their friends at the Bumble Fleur studio for a floral design class for the University’s first-ever “Warriors in the Workplace” event series. Everyone’s friend, the university's Director of Alumni Relations, Tracy Hale, and I had been planning this shindig since we met up at Pyre's Brewing for another alumni event earlier in the year. With fall in full swing and everyone looking for indoor activities, we thought, why not bring everyone together for a private party class?

Brunch was served promptly at 11am, and let me tell you, the breakfast charcuterie boxes from Social Grazing were a hit! Filled with all the fixings, including fruit, meats, cheeses, mini pancakes, syrup and jam, it was the perfect pre-class meal.

The floral palette for the class included Ocean Song purple roses, liatris and mini carnations, all in Winona purple! I even went the extra mile and created custom vases, featuring the school's logo on our violet flower cubes. The class focused on sustainable floristry, and I shared some of my best tips and tricks on how to create eco-friendly flower arrangements.

The talented Kendra Lauck Photography was also present, capturing stunning shots of the studio, behind-the-scenes footage of me teaching, and group photos at the end of class.

Overall, the event was a blooming success and it was a joy to reconnect with my Winona family. I can't wait to host more luxury floral design classes and workshops for all skill levels and continue to spread the love of flowers.
