As a traveling florist, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to fly to Colorado and help my friends Keegan and Rose create their perfect wedding day in the Rocky Mountains. The ability to travel and still be able to source gorgeous flowers from all around the world is one of the many proud points of my profession.
After creating most of their wedding florals in my hotel room in Denver, I packed things up and drove everything into the mountains to the Airbnb we were staying at in Estes Park. The scenery was breathtaking and the company with us was amazing, it was truly an unforgettable experience.
Their wedding day was a beautiful sunny day in the mountains, and I must admit that I was a bit nervous about doing one of our outdoor installations due to the wind, but it all turned out beautifully. The atmosphere was soft, romantic, and warm, and it was filled with love. I couldn't be more grateful to have had the chance to work with my friends to do their wedding florals.
Rose had a clear vision of what she wanted and I made especially sure to deliver on that. She wanted lots and lots of luxurious red roses, so that's exactly what she got. We paired the red roses with deep, dark greenery like plumosa, cocculus and nagi fern to give it a romantic vibe. We added hints of luxurious pinks and purples as a surprising addition to the floral palette, which made it more elegant and unique. We created the entire bridal party (9 bridesmaids!) florals, boutonnieres for groomsmen, parents and special guests as well as a custom hair piece for Rose. She was such a sweet bride and she looked incredible! It was truly an honor to be a part of such a special day and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with my friends and also to have had the experience of doing wedding florals in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
