We are deeply honored and humbled to have been named as the recipient of the 2023 Small Business of the Year award by the Richfield Chamber of Commerce. This recognition holds a special place in my heart, not only because it acknowledges the hard work and dedication that is going into growing this business but also because it represents the unwavering support and camaraderie of the incredible community that was instrumental in the journey.

When I first embarked on the adventure of starting my own floral business from a spare room in my home studio in Richfield, little did I know the profound impact that the community would have on helping to shape its success. The Richfield Chamber of Commerce quickly became more than just a network; it became a lifeline, a source of inspiration, and a testament to the power of unity and collaboration.

At Bumble Fleur, we are not just your average florist; we were purveyors of beauty, storytellers of emotions, and cultivators of creativity. With deep roots in art and intuition, we strive to bring people together, to inspire them through the beauty of flowers, and to help them find their creative outlets.

At the heart of my business are three pillars: kindness, community, and creativity. These values guide every decision, every interaction, and every endeavor.

Bumble Fleur thrives on three main services that are reflected our ethos: First, our floral design classes offered individuals the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of flowers, to spend quality time with friends and family, learn new things, and to explore their creativity in a supportive and nurturing environment. Our class attendance had grown exponentially in the last year, and we are grateful for every person who came to join us for some flower magic.

Second, our wedding and event florals allow us to weave magic and create unforgettable experiences for our clients. By getting to know each couple personally, we infuse their special days with personality and meaning, crafting stunning floral designs that told a unique love story.

Lastly, our special deliveries and funeral and sympathy floral arrangements served as expressions of joy, love, comfort, and remembrance during life's most poignant moments. With each arrangement, we strive to convey compassion and understanding, offering a source of beauty and consolation in times of both happiness and grief.

I am also proud to say that sustainability is at the forefront of our business values. We prioritize sourcing local blooms whenever possible, not only to reduce emissions but also to support our local flower farmers and foster a stronger connection to our community and the environment.

In the past year, our business has experienced remarkable growth, a testament to the unwavering dedication of our loyal clients and those who had referred us. We had the privilege of appearing on television three times in the last few months, showcasing our passion for floral artistry and sharing our story with a wider audience. Additionally, we were honored to be featured in Minnesota Bride magazine, further solidifying our reputation as an emerging leader in the industry.

I love every way we are able to connect to our community through Chamber events. Whether it was by hosting floral design classes at Friendship Village, participating in the Trunk or Treat event, supporting other local businesses at their open houses, enjoying trivia nights, having fun at the holiday party or contributing through donations, our involvement with the Chamber is central to our values.

I am filled with gratitude for each and every person who played a part in this journey.
